73K is pretty low for modern vehicles isn’t it?

Whatever the mechanical problems it looks quite good.  One of the very cars I’ve seen that looks good wearing fun blue paint.

No, the autotechs in this car have been going strong for 150k miles in 2 different cars. Pulled the pump today after I got it home and they look brand new

It threw P0340 cam position sensor.  I have it apart now, took the valve cover off to make sure the timing chain is in tact (it is) and everything under there is immaculately clean.  I’ve found a few issues under the hood (recirc tube, shocks are leaking, some parts getting touchy with each other) but nothing that looks like it could cause this problem.  I’m hoping it’s just the sensor, if a couple friends come through I may have it fixed or at least diagnosed today

It’s 10 years old, I’ve had it for 5 of those

It’s at ~113k total, I bought it at 40k.

I absolutely love the color.  When I was replacing my ‘07 speed this was on a local lot and I bought it partly because of the color

Yes I bought a 100,000 mile BMW.

If I get 5 year out of I’d without major repairs I’ll be ecstatic

Ex wife had an 08 Mazda 6 4cyl which was a nice ride but by 100k became very needy, leaked everything, noisy ride..cant say it never got her from a to b, but the 99 Accord was way cheaper to maintain properly even at 140k

What happened to it? when I was looking into getting a speed3 I heard that they are known for spontaneously blowing the motor. I forgot what the exact failure mode is, but it’s been recorded in the forums.

No compression. Pretty sure it slipped timing

early one were known for tossing rods, this isn't that though. Pretty sure it slipped timing which means all kinds of bad things on an interference engine

Hopefully it didn’t slip too far and valves are okay. Best of luck

No luck. All 16 valves are bent to the point of being stuck open
